Two Up Front wins prestigious publishing contract for Watsons Water Champions Challenge tennis tournament

By Anonymous

Hong Kong sports publishing company Two Up Front, a new partnership between leading Hong Kong web development agency Asiawide Media, and specialist sports communications company Game On (HK), today announced that it has won the contract to develop print materials for the prestigious 2004 Watsons Water Champions Challenge tennis tournament.

Two Up Front will write, design and produce promotional flyers, an official souvenir programme and a post-tournament newspaper to be distributed to event sponsors and corporate clients.

Tournament promoter Ken Catton Enterprises said it had chosen Two Up Front because of its reputation for creative solutions, and the track records of company founders Niall Donnelly and Simon Wait.

For this project, Two Up Front will leverage its experience in sports publishing – including the production of newspapers, magazines and websites – to meet the creative demands of a sporting event that will enjoy worldwide media exposure.

“We are delighted to be producing the print materials for the Watson Water Champions Challenge and we are confident of bringing fresh creativity and innovation to this high-profile tournament,” said Mr Donnelly, Two Up Front’s editorial director.

The 2004 Watsons Water Champions Challenge, to be held at Victoria Park, Hong Kong from January 8-10, features eight world-class players – including reigning Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, reigning French Open champion Juan Carlos Ferrero, four-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams and three-time Grand Slam winner Jennifer Capriati – playing men’s and women’s singles and mixed doubles.

In addition to the Watsons Water Champions Challenge contract, Two Up Front has recently taken over the running of Rugby Talk, the official magazine of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union. The new publishers have given Rugby Talk a dynamic new design and a complete overhaul of editorial content. The first new-look issue will hit the streets in the middle of this month.

About Two Up Front

Two Up Front is the brainchild of Niall Donnelly, owner of Game On (HK), and Simon Wait, who founded Asiawide Media in 2000. Two Up Front was registered in Hong Kong as a partnership between Asiawide Media and Game On (HK) in November 2003. Asiawide Media is a Hong Kong web development, graphic design and print publishing company with a client list that includes Coca-Cola Asia, National Geographic, International Financial Services, Toys ‘R’ Us, and Reader's Digest. Game On (HK) was founded in early 2003, after Mr Donnelly spotted a gap in the region in quality sports publishing and communications. Among its major clients is the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
